Dear readers,

Today, I'd like to share something that deeply touched me recently: the series "The New Look". This series depicts the period when the Nazis occupied Paris for 4 years and how French Haute Couture Designers faced this challenging time.

Four years ago, my husband gifted me my first Dior bag, and I was completely enchanted. It wasn't just about the luxury of the item, but the energy it conveyed whenever I saw it. Some might think I was obsessed with luxury items or wanted to show off a status, but my emotion went beyond that. And after watching "The New Look", everything made sense to me.

The series begins with Dior's presentation of his new collection in London to fashion students in mid-1946. A significant moment occurred when a student asked Dior, "How do you think your acceptance here will be, after designing dresses for Nazi women, knowing that Coco Chanel closed her shops and still achieved so much success?" The instructor asked Christian Dior not to respond, but he insisted, and thus began the truth. The truth, both harsh and beautiful at the same time... I won't tell you everything because the series is truly fabulous and emotional. Christian Dior's sensitivity and kindness are incomparable!

His life mission was fascinating, where beauty and love inspired him amidst a challenging environment. At the same time, we learn about the life of Catherine, his courageous sister, whose strength and resilience were a constant source of inspiration for Dior

REVIVING CHRISTIAN DIOR´S LEGACY

DIOR INSTITUTE

This blog post is not just about the fantastic story of Christian Dior, but about how beautiful it is that the company, now without Christian Dior, still maintains his legacy.

Last month, to celebrate my birthday, a dear friend gifted me an anti-aging treatment at the Dior Institute in Marrakech.

The experience began when I entered the magnificent reception hall of the Dior Institute in Marrakech, where I was greeted with an atmosphere of sophistication and charm, just as expected. I was led to a room where, passing through a corridor, I saw beautiful photographs telling the story of Christian Dior. Then, I was taken to the treatment room, with the most beautiful white rose symbolizing purity and honoring his sister Catherine, who loved roses.

The treatment began with the gentle sound of Ludovico Einaudi's "New Experience", preparing me for a unique journey in time and beauty. I must confess, I was moved during the treatment. It was as if Christian Dior's timeless beauty was being revived before my eyes, in every detail, scent, movement, and music, transporting me to his story!

The feeling of being enveloped in Dior's heritage and legacy was indescribable. And just when I thought the experience couldn't get any more exciting, I was reminded that I was witnessing something truly special. Christian Dior's legacy remains alive and vibrant in every detail of the Dior Institute in Marrakech, a tribute to the vision and genius of one of the greatest names in fashion.

So, if you're thinking of visiting Marrakech, don't forget to watch "The New Look" first and book a treatment at the Dior Institute. I'm sure it will be an exciting and unforgettable experience. And who knows, just like me, you might be moved by the magic and charm of Christian Dior in every moment.

The treatment I experienced was the Prestige Anti-Age, lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Located within the Es Saadi Palace Hotel in Marrakech, the institute provided a serene setting for relaxation.

My therapist, Loubna, guided me through the session with expertise and care.

The cost for this rejuvenating experience is approximately $280.

I conclude this post with a suggestion:

I recommend the emblematic book from the renowned publisher Rizzoli, New York, titled

"LES GRANDS PHOTOGRAPHES ET DIOR."

It is a beautiful collection of images of Christian Dior's most iconic dresses, photographed by various photographers! Besides having a stunning cover, its interior is filled with the most beautiful timeless images.
